The Kitchen Table W Taipei – Sparkling Buffet Brunch

The Kitchen Table at the W Hotel Taipei is one of my favorite buffet restaurants in Taipei. We’ve been to many hotel buffets in the past 11 years that we’ve lived in Taiwan, but this one is outstanding for many reasons.

My husband argues for the Grand Hyatt’s buffet dinner for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I’m a W Kitchen Table girl for everything else buffet-related in Taipei. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Taipei.

There is no better way to start your weekend (or end it) at The Kitchen Table for their Bubblissimo Sparkling Weekend Brunch. Their dinner service buffet is also awesome, but we like the brunch option because it’s just a nice way to start your day.

Bubblissimo Sparkling Weekend Brunch – Food

Bubblissimo is an all-you-can-eat buffet with an opt-in all-you-can-drink sparkling white wine option, which makes it the perfect place for a not too boozy brunch. Two hours fly by in the blink of several glasses of sparkling wine and many plates of food.

There is something to please every taste bud at this incredible buffet restaurant, which is located on the 10th floor of the W Hotel in Taipei’s Xinyi District.

W Taipei’s The Kitchen Table has defined their dining experience as yin shi wen hua, in other words, ‘food culture’, and they take it to the limit. The variety and quality of the food at The Kitchen Table is as outstanding as the restaurant itself. It is a gorgeous dining experience from start to finish.

The open kitchen is where the magic happens, so you can watch the chef and serving staff getting everything ready for you.

At The Kitchen Table, you can enjoy food cultures from around the world including hearty Western favorite dishes to colorful and rich Asian dishes, and a gigantic seafood counter.

The choice and variety of foods on offer at The Kitchen Table is eye-popping and utterly delicious.

The Kitchen Table has a few extra add-ons that make it really stand out from other hotel buffet restaurants in Taipei. For example, they offer a buffet, but they also offer a table service for specific dishes which they’ll deliver fresh and piping hot to your table.

The Kitchen Table also offers everything from wood-fired pizzas – try their signature pizza with Fontina, porcini, summer truffle and arugula – to a fantastic salad and vegetarian section. I took a friend there recently and he was worried he wouldn’t be able to fit enough in with his diet. He racked up six huge plates of food that day.

John LOVED the Bloody Mary station, while I took full advantage of the unlimited sparkling wine option for lunch.

The restaurant also offers a nice selection of spicy foods, tandoori recipes, and grilled dishes with roast beef, ham, and lamb chops.

Their salad and cold plate selection is quite good and it always looks incredible. I have been to The Kitchen Table close to a dozen times and every time I go, they’ve adjusted and made improvements to their salad section. I love their mozzarella and tomato skewers. So simple and delicious.

Their hot entree section includes selected dishes that are Cantonese, Indian, Italian, Japanese and Thai, to name a few. The hot carving station also includes prime rib, ham, lamb, and roasted pork knuckles. You’ll also find Asian dim sum, roasted pork and duck, wok-friend veggies and lovely hors d’oeuvres and other tasty entrees. The kitchen goes all out on ingredients and they do not cut corners. W Kitchen Table Bubblissimo-120318

They have their own pasta bar where you can choose your pasta and topping. The selection of ham, prosciutto and cheese is excellent.

Plus, they have fantastic juice station. All you have to do is point to your favorite fruits and veggies and they’ll make you the freshest homemade juice you’ve ever tasted.

The main centerpieces of the restaurant are its seafood buffet and endless dessert station.

The seafood buffet is one of the best I’ve had in town with buckets of king snow crab, lobster, smoked salmon, giant shrimp and prawns, clams, raw oysters, scallops, and fresh sushi and sashimi. All of it extremely fresh and tasty. The soft shell crab tempura is also a favorite. They’ll even make fresh seafood hand rolls on order for you.

Adults and kids alike love the dessert station, and who wouldn’t with things like a chocolate dipping fountain, a cotton candy maker, various specialized desserts such as chocolate mousse cups, mini donuts, tarts, cupcakes, macaroons, cake, and homemade ice cream and sorbet. You can even make your own ice cream cookie sandwich if you want.

I fill up fast on desserts first. It’s the only way to go when they’re serving chocolate delectables that look like this! And their raspberry sorbet is out of this world.

The Kitchen Table is worth visiting for its creative presentation and diverse choice of food. The W Hotel Taipei is known as a 6-star hotel in Taipei, so the moment you step inside the front doors, it’s designed to wow.

The Kitchen Table is a stunning dining spot that is famous for its chic décor with bright yellow and white offsetting the ceramic Chrysalis butterfly installation on the wall.

It offers a beautiful tropical setting in the heart of Taipei.

The spacious restaurant has large French-style windows that overlook the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool, so if it isn’t too hot of a day, I’d highly recommend eating your lunch outside next to the pool.

Be sure to make your reservations in advance because this restaurant gets very crowded on weekends, and make sure you dress to impress because you will be dining amongst fashionistas and finely-attired families and groups of friends.

If you can’t get a seat next to the pool, don’t despair! The restaurant is flooded in natural sunlight and its cheerful palette of yellow and white accents make it very summery and playful. The decor glitters with fun designs that include ceiling-to-floor partitions made of fluorescent green acrylic panels.

The Kitchen Table is quirky and fun, and it fits in with the rest of the W Taipei hotel perfectly. It’s worth visiting not only for its creative and diverse presentations in food, but because its also a gorgeous and modern eating establishment that just makes you feel happy.

It is a clean, casual, and elegant restaurant that isn’t in your face and dripping ostentatiousness. It’s no wonder that this restaurant is known for its casual sophistication.

The Kitchen Table offers a perfect escape from Taipei city life. Amidst the fashionable diners, beautiful decor, and glasses of sparkling wine and mimosas, you’re sure to enjoy the restaurant’s ambience and its friendly and professional serving staff. It’s not unusual to see chefs walking around with trays of new delights to sample.

I’ve been there many times and I have never once had any complaints about the service or staff. They go out of their way to make me feel comfortable every time I step foot in the restaurant.

I mentioned earlier that I’ve been to The Kitchen Table’s weekend Bubblissimo Buffet close to a dozen times. Every time I go, they are doing something a little different. They’re always tweaking things to make your dining experience more enjoyable.

In April 2017, they brought in a DJ who played some really great beats while we ate. It was fun to watch everyone stop and dance for a few minutes. It’s a very Taiwanese thing to do, but I just loved the performance. It made my brunch even more special, and of course, we had to get a photo with the DJ.

    Hi Carrie.
You have been in Taiwan for many years. Have you ever been to the ancient village of Jiufen? I heard many of my friends say that they like it very much because it is simple, ancient and above all enjoy the tea here is great.
If you have ever gone then hopefully someday I will see your article about Jiufen village.

    Hi Carrie.
My husband and I are going to taipei in january and it will be our first time. My husband is a buffet lover lol. I’ve been planning our trip and it seems we can have buffet lunch or dinner on thursday or friday. Is there difference in menu between lunch and dinner at the kitchen table? And how much is it for lunch? For dinner on friday (seafood night), I looked in their website it’s NT1980 + service charge 10%. And what other buffet restaurants in taipei would you recommend us to try?
    Thanks Carrie.
