The ferry arrived at Haad Rin Nai Beach from Big Buddha at sunset. Legions of sybaritic party-lovers disembark three days before the first Full Moon Party of the year kicks off on Haad Rin Beach. This is Koh Phangan, island oasis for hippie backpackers looking for a good time.

Taiwan’s Penghu Islands are full of delightful little villas perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. I saw this villa while on vacation with my co-workers last July and I’m dying to share it with John. We’re hoping to make this one of our ‘special’ places this coming year.
