Banciao Restaurant Review
Thai food addicts such as myself have a VERY hard time living just a short walk away from restaurants like Andy Thai. I’m convinced it’s one of the best (and cheapest) restaurants in Banciao.
My husband and I particularly enjoy Andy Thai’s fragrant and flavorful curried soups, (red and green with pork, chicken, beef, or shrimp). The hot lemon chicken and Thai stir-fried vegetables are also quite tasty, and the spring rolls are out-of-this-world. Most dishes are around NT$100 to NT$120, and the service is fast and friendly.
Follow your nose from Xinpu MRT. Walk straight out of exit 3 and you’ll see the orange Andy Thai sign right across the street.

I second your recommendation. Great value, great food. A real gem. Any Thai addicts at the other end of Taiwan (Tainan, specifically) should try out “The Green Papaya” which is not too far from the main train station. Best Thai food I’ve ever had!
