A little news from my world:

Wandering Educators is an eclectic group of global and traveling educators, bent on sharing a passion for travel with like-minded individuals. I have recently joined their ranks as the new ESL editor. My first article, Five Great Tips for First-Time ESL Teachers, went up at the beginning of the month and my introductory interview, Exploring the World with Carrie Kellenberger, conducted by Dr. Jessie Voights, went up earlier this week. Since I have a great number of friends and family members who are either pursuing a degree in Education or who are already working in the field of Education,  I thought I’d include a link to Profiles in International Education, which is a new series that features the work of international educators around the world. Monica Wong, author of A Pair of Panties and Boxers, has been helping John and I out with our new travel accommodations site. Her blog is chock full of interesting tidbits about her time spent in China. Monica is an avid blogger and her passion for travel and culture shines through in every post she writes. Thanks for all your help Monica!

I’m ashamed to admit that I hadn’t dropped by Andrew Hickey’s actual site, The Brooklyn Nomad since April. His site has been completely overhauled and it looks great. Stunning imagery and informative posts make for great travel content.

Over at Kaleidoscopic Wandering, freelance writer, fellow globetrotter, and former Peace Corps volunteer, JoAnna Haugen is literally writing her way around the world. JoAnna has just returned home from Burning Man and her first article on the event, Six Life Lesssons I Learned at Burning Man, is an incredible read. JoAnna is relatively new to my blogroll, but since introducing myself, I’m noticing her travel articles everywhere. She has written for Bootsnall, the Matador Network, TravelMuse, and Vagabondish to name a few. I’m really enjoying her blog and I have TBEX to thank for bringing her incredible writing to my attention.

I haven’t given enough attention to Foxnomad, despite chatting with its author, Anil Polat, several times this summer. It’s a beautifully-crafted web site with very original content. I know I’m late in the game on commenting, but I really enjoyed his Cheesiest Travel Photo Contest, in which my friend, Stevo, took part. Sadly, Stevo did not win, but nevertheless, it was a great idea for a contest and I got a good laugh at some of the submissions.  It’s not all just fun and games though. Anil is a very thoughtful travel writer and I enjoy reading his posts.

Katie over at Tripbase Travel blog consistently pumps up highly informative and entertaining posts. Even better, she makes her content easy to read because she sends it directly to my Stumbleupon mailbox. Thanks Katie. My favorites this month included the Fifteen Most Magical Places in the World and How to Beat the Post-Vacation Blues.

At Two Go Round the World, Kathryn and Daniel are producing some great content on pre-trip planning and budgeting. With an obvious passion for anything and everything travel-related, these are two travelers you’ll want to keep an eye on.
