I’m not even going to lead up to anything today. There are so many people to thank. Here’s who’s been inspiring me and whispering my name over the past month.
Thank you, Mia, for taking pictures of your tulips, for your beautiful post, and your words of wisdom. I’ve really enjoyed your garden pictures this spring and I can’t wait until everything is in full bloom this summer.
I never miss a beat with David on Formosa, who, by the way, has some terrific photos of Cosplay up this week. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on everything that’s happening in Taiwan.
Marcus Aurelius and crew have just turned me on to Waakao.com. Check it out.
WaaKao is a gateway to Taiwan, whether its arts and culture, political commentary, music, where the great party is on the weekend or just a profile about Mr. Chen the local recycling engineer. No story is too small, no headline too big. This is where YOU come in. Your stories, poems, pictures and drawings are welcome and needed. WaaKao will offer you a place where you can express your ideas and thoughts, and through our active promotion allow much more viewer-ship than you might otherwise get.
Craig Ferguson’s recent Five for Friday series are a huge success in my book. A few weeks ago, Craig included me on his list of Five Photographers to Watch. Thanks for taking time out this weekend to lens shop with me, Craig. Now you know how little I really know about photography and how much I have to learn.
Yes, readers. I bought a new lens and a few other goodies, which you will hear more about at a later date.
I was photographer of the week on The Carey Adventures: Photo of the Day by Peter West Carey. Peter and I met on Travel Blog Exchange and have been trading photography tidbits back and forth through emails, Twitter, and TBEX over the past few weeks. In the meantime, I’ve become a fan of his site and I admire his knowledge and expertise in the field of photography. For the record, Peter showcases some AMAZING photographers around the world, including some of my favorites like: Ron Dubin, Gary Ardnt, and Nellie Huang.
Stevo and I took on a spammer this month and we prevailed against the enemy. Here’s how we nabbed the sucker. I’ve been getting some good link love from Steve lately. Here’s back at ya! Two of my favorite posts of his this month are: Learning your first useful words in Chinese and his list of ten must-see’s in Shenzhen, China.
Graham Woodring of An American in the Far East is quickly becoming a front-page headline in my RSS reader. I’m reliving my days in China through Graham’s eyes, and I really enjoyed reading about his first couchsurfing experience.
Yep. You’re reading it twice. RON DUBIN, ladies and gentlemen. A-hem. Ron Dubin has created The Weekly Buzz to showcase what he’s been enjoying each week. This is a fantastic way to find great photographers and new sites. Ron’s site is a daily check-in for me. I just love his images.
Last but certainly not least, don’t forget to check out Planet Earth Daily Photo for another image from yours truly. Thanks Rich!

Thanks for the links and the kind words Carrie, they're truly appreciated…
R(etc… )
My pleasure, Ron.
Thanks for the nod, Carramia. Did you buy a lens? I bought a whole whack of gear, all I need is models.
Hey Stevo,
Apparently, we were shopping for camera gear at the same time. How\\'s that for parallel worlds?! I bought a new lens and a speedlite. You?
A speedlite? Good stuff. Which lens? I bought another speedlight, umbrellas, stands, a reflector, grey cards, and remote flash triggers. All I need now is some models…
Whoa! And I thought I\\'d done well with my purchases. Clearly I need to go shopping with you some time! I got a Canon 17-85mm. So far, so good. I\\'m happy with the results, and I\\'m looking forward to busting out the speedlite this weekend. I\\'ll be looking for your newest creations.
sweet
Now that my name can be found on this site, does that make me (semi)famous? I certainly think so. Thanks Carrie!
Graham,
*smile* You\\'re welcome. *blush*
Thanks for the mention Carrie – keep up the good work
