Backlink Lovin’ Round 2

It’s time to send a little backlink lovin’ out to those of you who have been showing me some link love over the past few weeks.

Guest Posts and Interviews

My very first thank you goes out to Asian Ramblings. I’ve been promising him a guest post for about a year now. Groan. Wedding plans kept getting in the way of my good intentions. Stevo’s patience never ran thin, and I finally got my butt in gear. My guest post was published earlier this week. Check out Tubing on the Nam Song River for a short travel story from yours truly.

My interview with The Happy Hotelier was featured early this month. The Happy Hotelier has a keen interest in new developments in luxury travel, luxury hotels, luxury B&B’s, architecture, design, travel- and hotel gadgets, guest satisfaction, web design and web promotion of travel sites and hotel- and accommodation sites. I guarantee you’ll receive a warm welcome, and you’ll find all sorts of interesting hotel and travel information here. I particularly enjoy the travel interviews that are featured on Happy Hotelier. Questions are centered more around the places than the individual. It’s a neat concept, and it’s awfully nice to be included with such a great group of travel writers.

Blogs and More

I’m proud to be part of the AllTop Travel Team. AllTop describes themselves as the “online magazine rack” of the web. They collect headlines from the latest stories from the best sites and blogs that cover a topic. Then, they group these collections — “aggregations” — into individual web pages. The five most recent headlines of the information sources are displayed. Ultimately, Alltops goal is to enhance your online reading by displaying stories from sources that you’re already visiting plus helping you discover sources that you didn’t know existed. My Several Worlds is featured in the travel section. Taiwan Photographers is a featured blog in the Taiwan section.

Thanks very much to Marion at Venere.com, who found my post on Glacier Trekking so intriguing that she decided to link it to her own travel resource page. Founded in Rome, in 1995, venere.com is one of the leaders in the online hotel reservations market both in Italy and across Europe. Venere also features useful hotel reviews submitted by its community of customers to help travelers book the best accommodation.

I’ve received loads of new traffic thanks to Glowing Raw, who featured my post on the San-Zhi Pod Village. Thank you!

And of course, what would some backlink lovin’ be without a little blog lovin’, too? Here are a few of my favorites from the past month.

Franki Durbin’s Life in a Venti Cup combines style, design, modern culture, and travel in a beautifully packaged site.  “Life is too short to think small. So live large. Live with style. Live with adventure.  Live venti.”  – Franki Durbin.

Be sure to visit Expatriate Games for fantastic photography. It’s one of my new weekly reads, and I guarantee you’re going to be impressed by the quality of writing and photography coming from the heart and mind of an expat in the Middle Kingdom.

Peder with a D is in Belize! Thanks for the props, P. Was Belize ready for you? :-)

Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Carrie has kept a home base with her husband in Asia since 2003. She works as a full-time freelance writer, editor, and photographer in Taiwan. Visit www.carriekellenberger.com for more information.

Jesus woman, your site has grown! I need to sit down and take lessons from you. In the meantime, just this quick comment to work your way up to 10k. Laurie and I had a great time Saturday evening, and had a strange experience with a taxi driver on the way home worth writing about. Next weekend, Seoul. Fan-freaking-tastic.

Hey! Thanks so much Carrie for the mention here. I really appreciate it. Talking about helping folks grow their site, you bring a lot of traffic my way and I am grateful!

I am trying to “get into” stumble this week so I can return the favor. I am apprehensive about finding the time to manage yet another “thing”.

I really enjoyed your post over at Asian Ramblings.
