There is a peaceful beautiful place, where many different kinds of animals live. It’s called the “Fable Forest”. Franklin lives there. He is a very greedy fox. When the other animals need help, Franklin always says, “No!”
One day, Franklin Fox was taking a stroll in the forest. He was really bored, and he had nothing to do. He suddenly saw a tree with many apples on it. “I will have some sweet apples for my dessert,” he thought happily. He tried to jump as high as he could, but he couldn’t even touch one of the apples.
“You’re too short!” laughed Barton Bird and Rebecca Rabbit.
“No! I am not short. I am a clever fox!” replied Franklin Fox. He climbed up the tree, higher and higher. He started to feel scared. “Oh no!” he cried. He fell down from the top of the apple tree.
When he woke up, he wasn’t in the forest, but there were many animals around him. “Are you OK?” asked Mr. Bear.
“You are in the hospital. When you fell out of the tree, Barton Bird quickly went to ask all of the animals for help. The Lion King carried you to the hospital. Rebecca Rabbit cried a lot. She felt so sorry that she had laughed at you,” Sweet Squirrel said.
“We are all concerned about you. We don’t want you to be injured,” Mrs. Tiger said.
Franklin Fox felt great because all of the animals cared about him. “I’m sorry that I wasn’t nice to you. But now I realise that you are all my very good friends. Can we be good friends?” Franklin cried.
“No, I don’t think we can be friends,” said the animals together. “But….we can certainly be best friends forever!” they joked.
