This is what traveling is all about. A hiking expedition in Northern Laos brings us to a small mountain village situated along a peaceful riverbank.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. You photography is beautiful!
Hi Carrie,
Traveling to Laos and Cambodia in August and I want to go a “off the beaten track”. I hear only Northern Laos is this way now. Is it possible to go hiking with one or two other for a few days or is it necessary to go in a group/tour? Do you reccommend any? Thanks!
Hi Jenifer,
I apologies for the late reply. I haven’t been to Laos or Cambodia since 2007, and I admit, it’s a bit hard to get off the beaten track these days. If you’re in Northern Laos, there’s a company called Green Discovery tours in Luang Prabang. They do private tours and will take you hiking and up into the mountains. Renting a vehicle can be a bit pricey if it’s just two of you, though. It’s best to hook up with other travelers if you can. Have fun!
