Super Writer: Justin Chang
Justin is my oldest student in two ways. He’s been with me from my very first class at Gram and in Taiwan and he’s also the eldest in our class. Justin is a quiet, serious student with a love for writing. He was in my conversation class for two years before I finally managed to convince him to move to Super Writers. Since his move, I’ve watched him blossom. This class has been a good move for him. I listen to him talk more now than he ever did in my other class, but perhaps this is because he is with students his own age, who all share similar interest and ideas. At times, Justin blows me away with his writing. He comes up with these amazing stories that are just a joy to read. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
What Justin wants you to know:
Justin Chang was born in Taipei County, Taiwan. He lives in Shu-lin City with his family. Justin is sixteen years old and studies at senior high school. He is a student in the Gram Super Writer’s Program at Gram Shu-lin branch. Justin enjoys writing and has learned to write several different kinds of paragraphs and stories.
Writing Style: A Descriptive Paragraph
My classmates invited me to visit Leofoo Village Theme Park in Tao-Yuan a few weeks ago. It’s the largest amusement park in Taiwan, and one of the roller coasters there is the most exciting one in Taiwan!
When we got to the park, everyone was very happy. I wanted to try every exciting ride there. In the park, you can hear screaming everywhere. I thought, “If I scream like a little girl, I’ll have a sore throat and my classmates will laugh at me.” But they just wanted to hear me scream, so they made me ride on the highest roller coaster there.
Before I got on the roller coaster, I was so scared. When I arrived at the square in front of the ride there was nobody waiting. Maybe it made people scared and that’s why no one was waiting to try it. There were just a few people on the roller coaster. After the operators checked our safety belts, the machine started. I wondered whether I would fly out of the roller coaster. Suddenly, everything in front of my eyes was blue sky, and in the next second, I could see the people on the ground. As I fell down, I started screaming until the machine stopped.
When I got off the roller coaster, my classmates all smiled at me because they didn’t ride on it. I wasn’t scared anymore because I had ridden on the highest roller coaster in Taiwan.

I can’t help but scream on a rollercoaster either. I have some of those fotos they take of you on a rollercoaster from a vacation in Spain, I have my mouth wide open in each of them…
Well, I’ve never ride on a rollercoaster but maybe one day…
My sister loves this type of entertaiment. She was four times in HIDEPARK in Germany.
I think it isn’t possible to refrain from screaming on a rollercoaster.
I LOVE amusement park rides. The bigger, the faster, the better. Krzys, you have to make this a top priority! Then I wanna hear all about it. Kim, where where where?
