Danshui’s Fisherman’s Wharf is usually teeming with people. In fact, it’s very rare to find a place to be alone if you’re not in the comfort of your own home. I’m sure you can imagine my surprise at seeing an entire area of space completely void of humans on a busy Sunday afternoon. I just about keeled over from the shock! Luckily I had my camera and after I’d snapped a few photos for posterity, John and I happily hunkered down with a blessed private outdoor moment to ourselves.

That’s a beautiful shot. I love wooden floors and decks, especially if they’re a bit polished by usage.
its beautiful. I understand the shock of finding quiet space in Asia. But you did enjoy a nice moment together
You’re lucky to find some peace and quiet in Danshui. Nice golden light.
This picture reminds me some nice memories. I haven’t seen a sea for about 7 years. Maybe this year… It’s a very romantic place. If I were you I would give a bit more shadow. I would like to see more details. Anyway this picture is really good.
Beautiful photo!
The last time I was at Fisherman’s Wharf was on a cold, rainy Lunar New Year’s Day morning back in February. There was no one there, either.
Lovely, what a sublime pleasure. Great image, Carrie.
