Big things are happening. And of course, you know me. My motto has always been, “Go big or go home!” I’m always one for taking on new challenges and leaping into the unknown and now I’m doing so with a very dramatic change in careers. I’ve taken on a job as an editor with an international magazine company here in Taipei. I’m excited to be joining their team, as this opens up a whole new world of opportunities. I’m able to combine a range of loves and talents with this job, and best of all, the experience that this job provides is second to none. I’ve always been a bit worried about returning to North America with years of ESL teaching experience and nothing else. This job is certainly something I can place my future in.
And, as far as the new job goes, my first day is behind me. My work involves writing, editing, preparing test questions and making audio recordings. I can’t really tell you more than that.
Life is good. A new job, an amazing man, and a soon-to-be Mrs!
No complaints on this end.

Matt,
That’s why it’s in quotation marks! ;-P
The job is here in Taipei and we’ll be remaining here for at least another 3-5 years since John is planning to do his IMBA next year. Actually, we’re really not convinced returning to North America is the best option. We’re quite happy where we are. However, I’m really looking forward to a vacation at home with family and friends. It’s been awhile since my last visit home.
I missed this entry. I’m so muddle-headed recently. Forgive me. Congratulations Carrie. I’m completely sure that new job gives you a lot of satisfaction.
hey carrie, it was nice seeing you and john yesterday. we ended up staying there until 9:30pm and acutally ran into another blogger. anyways, i meant to say congratulations on your new job but forgot to do so. so, CONGRATS! see you guys in hukou in a couple weeks.
Hi K,
That’s OK. I know you’re busy. It’s nice to hear from you when I do. In the long run, this will help me help you…it seems all I’m doing these days is editing and writing.
Andres,
It was nice to see you two. I’m sorry we were both so out of it. We’d been running around all day trying to tie up loose ends for the wedding and we were feeling a little zapped when we saw you. We’re looking forward to seeing you on the 25th. And, it was lovely to meet Miss Olivia for the first time in person. Her photos don’t do her justice!
