You would think that I’d be a productive person after being housebound for 48 hours. Well, in my defense, John and I have watched three movies. We’ve cleaned the apartment and planned for the wedding. I’ve written up a couple of advance posts for My Several Worlds so I don’t have to worry too much about posting while I’m away. I spent a couple of hours on my photography and Flickr. I even did some beading for my upcoming Christmas orders. Then I remembered a cute little manga site I found a few weeks ago at Face Your Manga and all was lost after that. I thought it would be fun to feature some of my blogger friends.
What do you think?
Yours truly, Carrie Marshall aka Globetrotter

Well, now you’ve gone and done it… I was going to do something productive after I finished watching a movie, then I discovered that I just *had* to make an avatar…
Ta-da!
nice. I saw these on your facebook.
hahaaha… this is cool! i’m gonna go try this out.
Holly,
If I knew you, I’d be boasting a nice KTV小姐 avatar here as well, but I guess I’ll save that for another typhoon day.
Andres,
Let me know how that turns out because I tried to create an avatar for you, I really did! I just couldn’t get it right. Swear you’ll do one for Olivia – pretty please?
Michelle,
I’ve made a few new ones since then. I’m addicted. So many friends and so little time.
I usually don’t like things like this, but as you say, typhoon day and all that:
Oops, didn’t work. Oh, well.

I love these, they’re hilarious & oddly close to what we truly look like! I’ve had 7 friends ask me where you designed them from – will pass on the manga site! xox
Poagao
Ha! Now that’s a pretty good likeness considering what few photos I’ve seen of you. Glad you joined in the fun. There’s nothing like a typhoon day to slow down productiveness eh?
Hey Sarah,
Yep. The manga madness continued over the weekend. I would’ve loved to spend my time catching up on phone calls and friends but our phone line was a bit messed up. John was devastated when the cable went out for twenty minutes.
These images are so cute Carrie and are totally spot on! Well done and thanks for sharing.
Holly,
I’m so stupid. I didn’t realize you’re Ta-Da comment was actually a link. Love your avatar and I can’t believe you’re not a Flickr contact yet. I’m your newest fan.
Jo,
After contemplation, I believe you should be the one sporting the
shoulder top. I did my avatar before I did yours and I didn’t want us to look the same, but I can see there’s absolutely no chance of that happening.
What kind of a computer program should I have to do avatars? Is it difficult? I’m impressed. These images are great
I know you, Ms Rees and Mr. Escalante from photos. These avatars shows your features very accurately.

Hi K,
You don’t need a computer program. Just go to http://www.faceyourmanga.com
At the bottom of the screen, select the language you want to build in and then follow the prompts. When you’re done, be sure to let me know because I want to see! I’ve missed your comments. You’ve been busy, haven’t you?
It was easy but I’m not sure if this picture shows me. I think it’s quite near my appearance. Check this out:

What do you think?

Yes, I have been busy and actually I would like to ask you a favour. I will let you know by e-mail, ok?
I think you did a great job. Well done! Ask away K. If possible, you know I’m always willing to lend a helping hand.
Really a cool site! Thanks Carrie.
