Boo-yah! Carrie’s back with a brand new schtick. No more moping around and feeling sorry for myself after seeing the doctor this morning and getting A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH! No more pills. No more long waits and painful visits to the doctor. No more feeling weak and weepy. These last three days especially have made all the difference in the world. I’m feeling positive. I’m getting my strength back. I’m heading back to the top again!
I’m thoroughly impressed with the doctors at National Taiwan University Hospital. They were terrific and I’m so glad my friends insisted I go there to get treated. At first, I felt the treatment I was receiving was a little radical and I was completely miserable, but I can’t believe how much better I feel. Good things are coming my way. I can feel it. I’m going to take it easy and I hope to get back to the gym and on a regular workout program again later on this week.
Baby steps are in order. I’m not going to come back too hard, but it’s so nice to have my life back again. Thanks everyone and most importantly, thanks Mom and Dad. You’ve been listening to my frantic, weeping phone calls for the past three weeks. It know it was hard on you both. You guys are the greatest.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better Carrie!
Great news, Carrie.
welcome back babe!
i am sure parts of taiwan turned somewhat gray while you’re down and out. now that you’re standing tall again, time to get out there and snap some vibrant colors into them
PS that Xian Muslim Quarter shot is manifique!
Great to hear Carrie.
Hi Todd,
Thanks. Man, your photography has been blowing me away lately. WOW! Terrific work.
Steve and Craig,
Thanks guys. It’s high time I got out of the apartment. I need to get the creative juices flowing again.
AP,
Yes. I need to get the photography going again. I lugged it out this weekend to the company bbq we went to in Sansia and haven’t done anything since because of the rain. We have ZERO visibility at the moment. Hope things are better for you and you’re snapping away. Thanks for standing by!
That Muslim Quarter shot is an old one, taken back in 2006. I was scrolling through old photos last night and came across it. Thought I’d post it to remind myself how much fun Xian is.
That is such good news, I’m so happy for you!
Thanks Kim. Yep. I’m happy to be back at it. Hey, thanks for the book recommendation. I haven’t read it yet, but I’m heading into Taipei this weekend to see if I can find it.
thats great. I’m glad you are feeling fine now.
Carrie, I’m so glad to hear of your good health news. You have been through so much lately. Keep healthy and take your time getting better!
Ashish and Sandy,
Thanks very much. Every day I am feeling stronger. What a difference good health makes when you’re studying and working. I’ve been whipping through my Chinese lessons and actually feel like talking to my students. Thanks for your support.
