John and I are full steam ahead with wedding plans now, thanks to my best friend and photographer extraordinaire, Ms. Joanna Rees. Joanna is currently working on her Ph.D here in Taiwan and also teaches at Huafan University. She took time out of her busy schedule last weekend to come over to our newly renovated apartment to snap our engagement photos for us. Joanna also told me this weekend that she’s fairly certain she will be attending our wedding in Mexico. Nothing would please us more as we would be incredibly honored to have her in our wedding party. Perhaps more than anyone, Joanna knows us best. A very very big thank you to Jo. John and I think the photos are gorgeous and we’re having a hard time picking just one for our wedding webpage.

I think that number 2 and 8 are pretty cool.
Beautiful ring, Carrie! I like the second one from the bottom (I think it’s labeled #7) and the second one from the top. They are all very nice. Joanna did a great job! I miss you being on WordPress(.com), but your new page is very cool.
#8 is my favorite. The photo is very real. However, they are all beautiful.

I like #2 and #5…I also like the first pic of your ring with your hands together- think maybe i would like that one better if your hand was laid over his (but maybe yours would look too small?)…you two are so cute! i really like all of them, you look great!!

#2, 5 & 7 are my favs! I really love #5 though, the pose is so casual but really captures your closeness and how comfortable you are with one another. lovely shots!!
And I like #6 go figure? Nice bling. Without whiskers John looks like a baby-I know I’m the 1st person to ever say that. Congrats to the handsome couple!

Ah ha. The Bushman said the same thing. He did a bit of a double take when he saw ‘the real John’ underneath all that hair. He shaved because one of his students thought he was 40. (He’s 26). I think that was a bit of an eye-opener for him.

I certainly missed your comments while you were away. I’m glad to hear your back and must get on 43things to catch up with you! Yep. I’m going to be releasing our wedding web page on My Several Worlds and it will be open to the public. This is the only way I can communicate with family and friends back home. It has been a challenge but it has also given me the opportunity to explore my creative side a bit more. I’m definitely an artsy-fartsy kind of person, so I’m enjoying this aspect of it.
