Ci Boys: We Play Hard

Ci Boys stole my heart. These are from the We Play Hard Series.

Vinyl toy collectors, both young and old, will enjoy the 2008 Designer Toy Exhibition running from March 28 to April 10 at Global Mall in Yong He.  The 4th floor exhibit features famous Taiwanese toy designers for Ci Boys, 501st Street Formosa Outpost, Pockyland, Crazy Label, Conquer Kingdom and Pong’s Hobby.

Address:  Global Mall

No.122, Sec. 3, Zhongshan Rd., Zhonghe City, Taipei County

交接點:環球購物廣場/台北縣中和市中山路三段122號

Crazy Label

Lego Land

Pocky Land Lego had several huge displays boasting colorful themes with trains, castles and dragons, battles and city scenes.  Fantasy freaks will also love their battle bots like the two captured below.

Pocky Land Battle

Pocky Land Warrior and Dragon

Sponge Bob Square Pants

No toy show is complete without Sponge Bob.  This life size model made of Lego was the main attraction for youngsters.

Conquer Kingdom Batman and Spidey

Conquer Kingdom cashes in on Super Hero mania with SpiderMan, BatMan and SuperMan as the main attractions.

Pong’s Hobby from Taichung has a mind-blowing exhibit of fantasy women.  This one is my absolute favorite.

Awesome figure pics, I have a new betelnut princess figure that I’ll probably get some pics of online over the weekend.

Cute! Toys still charm me too, last summer we went to Lego Land in Germany and I felt like a kid in a candy store 🙂
I’ve been away for a while so I’m still figuring out how to navigate your new site. It looks very nice, though I kinda miss your beautiful banner picture.

Todd, I can’t wait to see your pictures, but I expect you must be pretty busy with the new move. Where do you shop? I’m heading into Monster Taipei this weekend to check out some new collections.

    Kim,

Me too. I love browsing through some of the stores here, but it’s an expensive hobby and one I have to keep a serious leash on. 🙂

The site is really new, and I’m still learning so things are progressing slowly day by day. I miss my old banner picture too, but I have to add it now instead of WordPress doing it for me. I’m still trying to figure out how to do it without messing everything else up!

I’m a vinyl toy addict. I just can’t stop collecting, nor can I pass up an opportunity to go to a toy exhibition. Taiwan is a great place for people like me.
