    Wandering Seniors,

I know. My jaw dropped when I saw them. Unfortunately, I can’t take credit as they were sent to me by email. I’m happy to share though.

Yikes! So far for relaxing on the beach… I wonder how many children get lost there each day.

Have fun on your trip and may the weather gods be with you!

That looks like total craziness. I would hate being there. And what’s up with all the advertisements?

Oh my God!! Incredible photos! When I travel to China, it will be interesting to see if this is what you can expect at all beaches. I guess this is just what the high season looks like.

WoW! And I thought italian beaches were crowded in August!! That is nothing compared to this! I will never complain again! And those Mc Donalds’ umbrellas….very exotic :-)

seriously? that is literally my worst nightmare. any one for Mickey Dee’s?

That is the most unappealing thing I think I’ve ever seen. I’d rather sit alone in a room than go to that beach.

Thanks Kim! If I had kids, this would be the last place I’d take them for vacation. And if ended up there by accident, I wouldn’t let them out of my sight for a second!

    FW,
Thanks for stopping by again. Who knows? I guess with that many people they’d be stupid not to advertise.

    Erica,

I bet this is during a holiday like Chinese New Year, National Day or Mooncake Festival when everyone under the sun heads to the best tourist spots for some R&R. I’ve traveled in China during these periods and it’s always a zoo. When are you going to China?

    Rome, De, Lisa and Gary,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I can’t imagine going anywhere worse for vacation. We were in Sihanoukville in Cambodia over Khmer New Year earlier this year and we thought it was insane. Then I saw these pictures and realized I couldn’t even compare the two places. I hope I never end up at one of these beaches.

I think these pictures might actually be from a place called Heaundea, in Korea. (See http://denisdesjardins.blogspot.com/2007/07/heaundea-crowded-beach.html for some similar pics.) Still pretty amazing, I’ll never take our far-less-crowded beaches for granted again!

    Hi Dave,

I think you might be right. I took a look at Denis’ blog and it looks like one of those photos matches the skyline. Did he take these photos? As I mentioned, these were emailed to me. I would love to give credit to whoever took the photos and of course, change the title of my piece of Denis can confirm.

Cheers and thanks very very much for letting me know!

    Hello from Montreal Canada, Carrie

I’ll ask my son who is in Seoul teaching ESL. The 1st pic reminds me of a beach he went to in Pusan (sp?) in the SE of South Korea, I believe.

It’s definitely Haeundae in Busan. This is just a normal weekend day in the summer swimming season.
