Welcome to the World of Canon XTi. I took pictures many years ago and I enter in the digital era by a Panasonic Lumix, but I wanted some better. Recently I purchased a new lenses: a zoom 70-300 with image stabilizer. I liked so much. If you want see some pictures see at:

First the suspense of whether or not you’re going to go DSLR… then the suspense of whether you’ll go Canon or Nikon… then you don’t post the pics you took after your first weekend spin with your new camera, and now to top it all off, you don’t include where your going for your next trip in this entry…

    You’re killing me! :)

Yeah and I get to enjoy the results of your purchase! Use it in good health and take some great piccies.

Congrats, on your new baby, Ms Globetotter. There is a learning curve with DSLRs. The different metering modes are challenging. I’ll drop you an email and suggest some reading material when I return (Sunday).

Have fun, don’t get discouraged. It took me a lot of playing a round to turn out anything I thought was acceptable.

    Walter,

I just checked out your photography on Flickr. It’s wonderful! If these are the kind of photographs I can produce with my new camera, I’m doubly happy I bought it. I also added you as a contact. Terrific work my friend!

Ha Todd. I know. I’m terrible, aren’t I? Actually, we’ve been crazy busy over the past month, so I haven’t had much time to post. However, if the suspense keeps people coming back….. ;-)

Thanks ladies. I hope I don’t do too badly with the new camera. I’ve been so busy this week that I haven’t had much time to get out and practice. I guess I’ll get plenty of practice over the next week. I think it’s going to be awhile though. :-)

    Lisa,

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. I can’t wait to see what kind of photos I start producing. I haven’t had much time to play around with it this week, but I’m officially on vacation now. Once we get back from the trip, I’m hooking up with Joanna to filch loads of top-notch tips from her as well.
