I had a terrific year-end surprise from Fili of Fili’s World when I came home today after work. He compiled a list of Taiwan’s Top English Bloggers of 2007 and yours truly is ranked number 10 out of hundreds of fabulous bloggers in the Taiwan blogosphere. I’m honored.
My Several Worlds is ranked along with (who I like to call) the big boys: Fili, Michael Turton, The Only Redhead in Taiwan, Prince Roy, Toshuo, David Reid, Scott Summers, The Daily Bubble Tea, Battle Panda and The New Hampshire Bushman to name a few. I try to keep up with all these blogs on a regular basis.
Each day, I find more blogs to add to my growing list of blogger friends. Fili has started me off with some new blogs to venture into in the upcoming year.
My Several Worlds will be a year old on the 6th of January. My 2007 New Year’s resolution was to learn how to blog and create some adventure travel tales for my friends and family back home and for anyone else interested in reading about our life in Asia. At first, I blogged about Taiwan, but my friends, Range and Joanna Rees, (who are also included on this list) convinced me to branch out and blog about everything that’s important to me. My Several Worlds is not limited to just Taiwan, like some of these other bloggers. With this in mind, although I’m truly happy to be included, I don’t know how accurate this list is in including me. I haven’t blogged about Taiwan much lately in the last few months as my head is still filled with our travels through South East Asia this year. Rest assured, there is more to come. I love Taiwan. This is my home and Chinese New Year is coming, which means another BIG BIKE TRIP AROUND THIS FAIR ISLE for the Globetrotters.
I plan on releasing the statistics for My Several Worlds on the 6th for anyone who’s interested. I know my father is definitely intrigued by all this ‘blogging’ business and will enjoy reading about the numbers behind the blog.
Thanks to all of you who have made a difference. You’ve helped me to stand out and shine by reading these humble words of mine and by offering your comments and support. All of which are greatly appreciated. I hope you have a wonderful start to 2008. Happy New Year!
