I spent the better part of yesterday going through photos from the thousands I took during our trip to Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. I’ve barely even started on our photos from Japan!
I had just finished uploading our pictures from Hanoi when Shzam! Something failed to connect and I wasn’t able to upload any more pictures for the day. This meant I wasn’t able to upload any of the photos I took from the blogger meet-up in Hukou on Saturday evening. Never mind. Two posts are better than one and it also gives me an excuse to ramble on about a few other things that have slipped my mind this week.
First off, I’d like to say thank-you to Joe Grey for including some of my photography on his new website, Taiwan Picture of the Day. It’s nice to be featured with such amazing photographers. There’s some truly phenomenal photography on his website. Be sure to check it out!
John and I will be going to a wedding next weekend. Our good friends, Queenie and Jerry, are getting married. This will be our first wedding in Taiwan and we’re quite excited to have been asked to share their special day with family and friends. We spend a lot of time with Queenie and Jerry and we’re very very happy for them.
I’d like to include a big GOOD LUCK wish to my best friend, Sarah Albrecht. She is getting ready to run the 2007 Dublin Marathon for Team Canada to raise money for diabetes. This last week before the run is going to be a big one for her. I’m with ya 100% sister!
Last but not least, a heart-felt thank you and a huge “Miss you” to Ms. Beka Shane and her fiance, Christian Denter. We stayed with Beka and Christian while we were in Tokyo. Beka and I have been friends for twelve years. We’ve always stayed in touch with each other despite the journeys we’ve been on. It was just like old times and as usual, it’s always hard to say good-bye. Let’s get working on that meet-up in Thailand soon!

Aw thanks pookey!! My house was hit by lightening and I lost my modem (fried). Checking up on you from work at the moment, how sweet to see you’re thinking of me too!! Love you, love you, S
