A Bra for Butt Cheeks?
Japanese women are renowned for their fashion-sense. So what gives? In my opinion, these women have the absolute worst fashion sense I’ve ever seen. They beat Bjork’s swan dress hands-down. Japan’s harajuku girls need to beat some style sense into the rest of the population!
Thanks Beka, for sending me these pictures. I just had to share. They’re too funny to pass up!

At first I though she was wearing underwear over her jeans. Look closer and you’ll see that the underwear are actually part of the jeans!

Why? Why? Why?

A bra for butt cheeks? These pants bring new meaning to the words, “lift and seperate.”

Aya carumba! How does she sit down?
Okay, are they trying to show off that they have flat tummies? And I am also wondering how they sit down. The last photo makes you wonder how far down the front of the jeans are. On second thought, I really do not want to know. There was a time when teen aged boys were wearing their jeans a size or two too big to show off their boxers. But at least they kept everything covered. And considering that I have seen hip huggers on teen aged girls who should never wear them, I hope this fad does not cross the Pacific.
The scary thing is that I have a friend in Japan that I have seen wear the low-rise jean and underwear look when we have talked on i-chat. Her comment was that it was a hot new look and all the girls are wearing it. Of course she weights maybe 79lbs and 5ft 6.
The red outfit looks like either a racing girl or /and midnight club outfit to me. Something you see a lot of in that scene.
I once had a vague interest in visiting Japan. That has now vanished.
Carrie these photos take the cake.
However, I have seen a good deal of “stripper wear” in Taipei that some people seem to think of as being appropriate to wear to the office.
Different stokes for different folks I suppose….
Yeah, I always laugh when I see the strippers girls. I thought this was only for special bar nights, but apparently it’s been a cool trend for quite awhile. I saw a girl waiting for the MRT in a french maid costume last week.
I recently read an article in an English newspaper about Taiwanese opinions on how Westerners dress. Most of the girls who were asked think we (especially Western girls) dress horribly.
Butts hanging out of pants? Good for the boys I guess.
But, there is kinda no fashion sense involved here, only hormones.
“Slutwear” has always been there – it just progresses to the next shocking (or tilltilating) trend.
And some on them even land on fashion runways:
Remember when slips were only worn as underwear? It was a silk slip that Elizabeth Taylor wore in the old old movie “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” but that was in her bedroom, and only her husband, Paul Newman, was with her.) In the 70s, streetwalkers wore them (under trenchcoats) for hustling. But today, slip dresses are quite common, and are probably even on their way out as a fashion trend.
Be prepared, ladies, your neighbors or officemates may be wearing those jeans in the future.
Juan,
You’re right. I used to wear revealing clothes too, but I’d like to think that I was somewhat classy in how I presented myself. Yes, I wore midriff tops, mini skirts, fishnets and stilettos and I even remember when it was cool to show the band of Calvin Klein thongs above your jeans. (I hang my head in shame.
I just don’t know if I could keep a straight face if someone showed up at work in these pants.
who knew? plumbers and mechanics were trendsetters, light-years ahead of the crowd!
um i actually have no comment lol
LOV BUTT HUGGERS. Awesome stuff!
