Thanks for your comments ladies. I wish I had time to respond to each of you in turn. Thanks for staying with me.

I've thought about Jack every day since we left Phnom Penh. Some people can truly touch your heart with the simplest of smiles.

It is always sad to see children suffer. One feels so helpless and yet one cannot help them all.

Carrie this is beautifully written. I can visualize Jack and the experiences you and John must be going through at this time. Still I have a hard time imagining children on the street without shoes! Good for you and John for being so kind and generous towards them.

Again thanks for sharing your experiences and touching moments. How can such an experience not change you forever?

I know you don't know me but I started reading your blog awhile back when I had just recently finished taking ESL classes and noticed you had several posts on the subject.

Anywho, I just wanted to let you know what a beautiful writer you are. I really enjoy reading about your adventures in Asia. Everything you write really makes me think.

So, thank you. Very much so. Know that you are an encouragement to someone you've never met.
