Citizen Cain is one of our favorite haunts in Taipei, and it also happens to be the official meeting spot for Reach To Teach teachers and special events. It seemed only natural to have our farewell party there last night, where we were joined Dhruva, Anna, Avi, Alex, Mitch, Vicky, Jason and Jo and Ranjit for some food and drinks.

Of course, the evening progressed into a bit of a drink fest. But we had a fabulous time with everyone and are reassured that most of them will still be there when we return to Taiwan at the end of June.
One the hardships of living a transient lifestyle such as ours is having to say good-bye to some truly wonderful and amazing people. We’ve made some really great friends in Taiwan. Our world opened up quite a bit when John joined the football team last year and we both spend a lot of time with the guys. We couldn’t ask for a nicer group of friends.
Last night, we spent a lot of time with Vicky and Jason, since they are embarking on their own journey through South-East Asia next week. Sadly, we had to bid farewell to them in Taiwan, but we made plans to meet up with them in Laos, so it doesn’t feel quite so final yet.
Thank you to all our friend who made the effort to come last night and wish us bon voyage. We had a great time and won’t forget you.

I hope you always remain connected to these wonderful people. And if you are sad, sing “Good bye Hello” by the Bealtes.
“I don’t know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Hello hello!”
New camera??? Please do tell…
